My work is primarily influenced by a love of the Cotswold landscape that embraces Stroud and is particularly inspired by the species rich limestone grasslands and meadows of this area. While I strive to depict the beauty around me, I hope there is more to my photography than just “pretty pictures” and that my camera can fulfil an aim that goes beyond this. In my ‘Grasslands of the Stroud Valleys’ exhibition I have endeavoured to capture some of the dedicated work of volunteers, local organisations and farmers in helping to preserve this landscape and it’s beauty. I hope that the images will please and entertain but can also help raise an awareness of the care needed to conserve this precious environment.
